Club Rules

1. Court Allocation
Senior members have full access to courts at any time subject to match play
Minors (UNDER 12) are not permitted to use the courts or the clubhouse unless
supervised by an adult
Minors (UNDER 12) are not permitted to play after 7.00pm
Juniors (UNDER 16) must give way to intermediates
(UNDER 21) and senior members after 7.00pm
When the courts are busy and members are waiting to play, those on court should
restrict their game to one set
2. Sunday Play
Courts 4-9 (the lower courts) are available for play from 1.0pm to
9.0pm. Entrance is through Cavehill drive only
3. Closing hours
Club premises are closed to unaccompanied juniors and
minors from 7.00pm or darkness
4. Visitors
Only senior and intermediate members may introduce visitors. A fee of
£2.00 should be paid to a committee member.
No visitor may be introduced more than 6 times in one season
5. B.R.A. pupils have a claim to lower courts
from 9.0am until 4.30pm (6.0pm if supervised) and 9.0am until 1.0pm on Saturday
Unsupervised pupils MUST have their B.R.A. smart card in their possession or
they may be asked to leave the court. If pupils wish to play at other
times they must join the club which they can do at discounted rates
6. Board Directive membership discs
ALL members on court must display their membership plastic disc on the net
Failure to do so may result in being asked to leave the court
7. Gate must be locked at all times. All members have a key
8. Court etiquette
General court etiquette is to be observed at all times. Recognised Tennis gear
and predominantly white trainers should be worn
9. The wearing of football jerseys
This is strictly forbidden within the club premises and this rule will be
rigidly enforced
Members are requested to dispose of litter in bins provided and observe the ban on chewing gum. Other examples of unacceptable behaviour such as spitting on court and the use of foul language will not be tolerated
